Yogyakarta EARTH HOUR (30 March 2019) – Switch Off Lights at Titik Nol Kilometer

DESCRIPTION:

Earth Hour is an annual event, usually held on the last Saturday evening in March, when millions of people and thousands of business worldwide turn off lights and shut down most electrical appliances to celebrate sustainability and show their support for strategies that will help solve the problem of global warming.

The first Earth Hour was held on March 31st, 2007 in SydneyAustralia at 7:30 pm, local time. In October 2007 San Francisco ran its own “Lights Out” program inspired by the Sydney Earth Hour.

The Earth Hour movement, which aims to raise awareness about climate change by switching off lights for 60 minutes, hopes to bring people together to think about what they can do to reduce harmful carbon pollution blamed for rising temperatures.
