I will be in Yogyakarta from the 2nd to the 9th of September 2018 and I wish to travel to Kalibiru National Park, Jomblang Cave (Goa Jomblang), climb Merapi Volcano (Gunung Merapi) and travel through Pindul Cave (Goa Pindu) by tube and raft.
Is it cheaper to do all these things individually or does someone do a package deal to take in all these sight and if so what should I expect to pay ?

Sorry, you put your question in the wrong topic actually.
Well, you can combine Jomblang cave and Pindul cave in one day.
The other sights you can do in the next day.

All these sights paid per person per sight, not per group.
So, it doesn’t matter if you’re alone or on the group.
What you need to concern is the transport to the location.
Sharing the transport cost with other traveler is a good idea.
You can check our schedule, join and share the transport cost with other travelers.

      Here our schedule 2017:
Sorry, schedule for 2018 is not available yet.

    He Roni ,
Can you tell me please how to go from Probolinggo to Bondowaso( how many kilos is it ) ?

Because I really don’t know how to do by public , is there any train ? Is there any other possibilities ?

We would like to go from Probolinngo to Kawah Ijen by thewest side ..
    Tmks 🙂

      He Elie,

I visited Ijen crater through west side road three times and use my own and friend’s car.
I never see any public transport along the west side road to Kawah Ijen.
This road so small, quiet and pass some nice forest and plantation.

If you really insist to take west side road,
then you can take a bus from Probolinggo city to Bondowoso city.
At Bondowoso bus station (Terminal) take unofficial transport to Sempol.
This kind of transport signed as black plate number and there is no timetable here.
It just available in the morning till mid day.
Prepare for the worst scenario because this transport will be full loaded by passenger.
After you arrive Sempol village, you can take a scooter taxi service to Paltuding.
This scooter taxi called as Ojek by local people.
This kind of transport not always exist,
You have to talk and ask to the local people for ‘Ojek’ services.
The scenario of taking the west side road to Ijen by public transport is tiring trip and frustrating.
Waiting the transport which has no timetable and also limited services can impact to your plan or schedule.

Otherwise you can take southeast road.
Take Sri Tanjung train from Probolinggo and stop at Karangasem, Banyuwangi.
Then rent a scooter to reach the spot.

      Have a nice trip, Elie!
      Good luck!

      1. Elie

        Thank you Roni .

Of course I really appreciated the time you take to make me understand that go from Bondowoso it’s not the good choice .

So we will take the southeast road , by train and stop in Karangasem .

Thank you for your advices 🙂
