DESCRIPTION:

Jogja International Heritage Walk is the biggest walking event in Indonesia. The exotic of grand Prambanan temple & Imogiri with nice atmosphere will be a part of the route. It will provide a different experience because they are closer to nature, the Creator and historical values that have been stored for centuries.

This event organized by Jogja Walking Association, Royal Silk Foundation  and PT Taman Wisata Candi (TWC). It has concept that carried not only the health of (health) , but also the movement of environmentally conscious (green environment) , education and communication, and tourism and economy.

Jogja International Heritage Walk held on two consecutive days every November, with the route location Imogiri village & around Prambanan temple, with the distance given are: 5, 10 or 15 and 20 kilometers.

Jogja International Heritage Walk officially confirmed as members of the 27th World Walking League or the International Marching League (IML) on May 7, 2013, in addition Jogja International Heritage Walk also officially approved as a member of the International Federation of Popular Sports (IVV) in charge Triathlon in November 2013. And this makes Indonesia the only country in ASEAN that survived became a member of the International League of Walking.

USD $50 (2 Days Walk): Prambanan & Imogiri.
USD $30 (1 Days Walk): Prambanan.
USD $25 (1 Days Walk): Imogiri.

About 20km or 30 minutes to east from downtown Yogyakarta or about 2 km from Prambanan temple.

HOW TO GET TO THE PRAMBANAN TEMPLE?

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
There is a cheap public transport to get there. Trans Jogja Bus. Ticket only IDR 3,500. First, you must go to halte bus/bus stop/Shelter of Trans Jogja. Then, you must reach to Prambanan halte. Then, you can take a walk to the Prambanan.

From Adi Sutjipto Airport :
please take Route 1A – Stop in Prambanan Shelter
Then, please take a walk to the temple
From Tugu Railway Station :
please take Route 1A – Stop in Prambanan Shelter
Then, please take a walk to the temple
From Giwangan Bus Station :
please take Route 3A – Stop in Airport(bandara) Shelter,
then please take Route 1A – Stop in Prambanan Shelter
Then, please take a walk to the temple
From Jombor Bus Station :
please take Route 2B – Stop in Condongcatur Shelter,
then please take Route 3B – Stop in Airport Shelter,
then please take Route 1A – Stop in Prambanan Shelter
Then, please take a walk to the temple

From Prambanan Shelter :
Take a walk to the temple.

*) Trans Jogja operates from 5:30 am until 9:30 pm.
**) If your stay far away from Trans Jogja bus stop, you can hire online taxi motor like Go-Jek or Grab bike. But, you have to install the apps first. The driver can not speak english.

HOW TO GET TO THE IMOGIRI?

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
You can use Trans Jogja to Giwangan bus station (Terminal bis Giwangan), ticket about IDR3500. Then change bus, from Giwangan bus station to Imogiri.  You stop on Imogiri bus station. Then, take a walk to the Imogiri village. Better you rent a car or motorcycle for cheap one.
