DESCRIPTION:

Aptic group which means the Three Gap Art Project consists of Arbi Rangkito (Arbi), Ika Dhany Pangastuti (Dhany) and Ramadhyan Putri Pertiwi (Rama). The Aptic group originated from three young artists who were students and alumni of the Indonesian Art Institute, Yogyakarta, class of 2013 gathered and shared their work experiences and life experiences to be expressed in a work.

They gathered, joked, went to a beautiful place like a mountain, a beach to see the great glory of God. They saw the sun of water, trees, birds, rocks, wind and so on. From the many things in this world that they have seen, the three of them get the idea to put it in a work, of course with their different streams.

The work in this exhibition shows different characters that show different styles of painting. Arbi with expressive paintings and naive figures, Ika Dhany with bird surrealism, and Rama with abstract objects. This “Short Stories Aptic” exhibition is the premiere exhibition of the Aptic Group. We took a simple title to summarize our paintings into one unit. The title is “Short Aptical Stories” or APTIC short stories. Each aptic member has stories that are everyday in life. In everyday life there are many small things or big things that are meaningful and memorable to tell.
