This event was attended by thousands of visitors, fado enthusiasts and fado communities from all over Indonesia.
You gonna see awesome ancient city of Kotagede, yes Kotagede = big city, it’s the capital of Mataram sultanate with awesome atmosphere, you can see also the old architecture of houses, small street etc.
BEAUTIFUL NIGHT SKY
You gonna see beautiful night sky on the concert because it open space. It become exotic atmosphere with bamboo chairs or sitting on the ground and the strong lights.
Keroncong in Indonesia comes from Music Portuguese “fado” introduced by the sailors and the slave merchant ships in the 16th century. In the development of traditional Indonesia entered a number of elements that participate to form keroncong music, in short keroncong has evolved a long and admirable.
Keroncong unique with a blend of western and eastern culture, flexibility and openness will be other music, so many types of songs will still be dynamically performed with rhythmic keroncong. This is what makes many people believe keroncong will be lasting throughout the ages.
From the results of the discussions with the community Kotagede finally sparked the idea of holding “Keroncong Kotagede Market 2015”. And as the name implies this performance will be like a market where many kinds of styles keroncong be displayed so that the audience can freely choose the preferred, even the audience will be given the freedom to interact.
In this event, there are three stages named Sopingen stage, Sayangan Stage, and Loring pasar Stage.

WHERE IS IT?
About 6km or 15 minutes to east south from downtown Yogyakarta.
HOW TO GET TO THE SITE:
There is a cheap public transport to get there. Trans Jogja Bus. Ticket only IDR 4,000. You must go to halte bus/bus stop of Trans Jogja. Then, you must reach to Tegalgendu/Pegadaian Kotagede halte (halte Kotagede), usually 3A or 3B bus route and then take a walk to the market. Ask to the operator if you still confused.
