Parangtritis National Surfing Competition (11-12 April 2019)

DESCRIPTION:

PARANGTRITIS SURFING:
Parangtritis surfing spot was founded by SAR team members who promote Parangtritis beach for surfing in the first time. Before that, no body want (brave) to surfing in Parangtritis beach because it has big wage and near to trough (riverbed).

Parangtritis National Surfing Competition was founded by Dolphin Parangtritis Surf Club (DPSC) on 2016. This year is the fourth and the first time that supported by Bantul, Yogyakarta Government.

This event attract a lot of surfer from all over Indonesia. Hundreds of local people will join as participants. It separated into three classes: Open division, Women division and Local divison.

HELD ON:
11-12 April 2019

TIME:
7 AM – 5 PM (Day 1).
7 AM – Drop (Day 2).

LOCATION:
Parangtritis beach, Bantul, Yogyakarta.

HOW TO GET TO THE SITE?

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
There is a cheap public transport to get there. You can use Trans Jogja to Giwangan bus station (Terminal bis Giwangan) first. Ticket about IDR 3500. Then change bus, from Giwangan bus station to Parangtritis. Then, you have to take a walk to the beach. Ask bus operator if you confused.  It will take 45 minutes – 1 hours to reach the site.

From Adi Sutjipto Airport :
please take Route 3B – Stop in Giwangan Bus station (Terminal Bis Giwangan)
Then, please take small bus to Parangtritis beach – Stop in Parangtritis beach
From Tugu Railway Station :
please take Route 2A – Stop in Tungkak shelter/halte.
Then, take Route 4A – Stop in Giwangan Bus station (Terminal Bis Giwangan)
Then, please take small bus to Parangtritis beach – Stop in Parangtritis beach
From Jombor Bus Station :
please take Route 2A – Stop in Tungkak shelter/halte.
Then, take Route 4A – Stop in Giwangan Bus station (Terminal Bis Giwangan)
Then, please take small bus to Parangtritis beach – Stop in Parangtritis beach
From Giwangan Bus Station :
please take small bus to Parangtritis beach – Stop in Parangtritis beach

*) Trans Jogja operates from 5:30 am until 9:30 pm.

**) Better you rent a car or motorcycle for cheap one. Use Google map as your navigation.

IDR 2K (Scooter Parking Fee)

Free (Audience Watching Fee)
