However, if you want a more private accommodation, you can choose the hotel that is on the edge of the road Sosrowijayan.  Rental rates in the village inn located in the south of the Flower Market is not much different from that in Prawirotaman.

Hi, I’m a female solo Muslim traveler. Will be travelling to Yogya in May. I’m still recovering from knee injury so I can’t walk as much as I used to.

Is it recommended to get a guide on motorbike to show me around?

    Is it safe?

    1. kunzyogya Post author

Well, i think it’s good if you have a guide/driver on motorbike to show you around.
But, i think it more safe to rent a car.

The motorbike or car can not reach close to the site, it just only on parking area.
I think it’s better if you rent wheelchair.
Even in Malioboro street, which is close to Sosrowijayan backpacker street, they have special track for disabilities people.
The tile designed for wheelchair and colored with yellow. Borobudur also had special track for wheelchair.
You can hire the guide/driver on motorbike/car to drive (you + wheelchair) to the sights, and pay more for it.
So, it more safe for your knees.

Here the contact of wheelchair rental in Yogya: +6285643352752 or +628562558055 or +62838 4085 4569
      Have a nice traveling!

      It is very cheap.
But, it’s far away from downtown and it’s hard to find public transport to get there.
I already recommend some place to stay which is cheap and very close to the tourism destination in the center of the city.

    Hi Kunzyogya,

Are there any best night markets in Yogyakarta with halal eateries around? if yes, could you provide the location, time and days/date?

    Regards,
    Hidayah

    1. kunzyogya Post author

      Hi Nurhidayah,

Even Jogja is plural city, bus mostly are moslem (islam people).
      So many halal foods here.
So, you don’t have to worry about that.
But, there are some sign used by local for “haram’ foods.
      Here:
‘B1’ or ‘B2’ or ‘Tongseng jamu’ or ‘Sengsu’ or ‘Wedhus balap’.
If you read one of that word,
      better you avoid that restaurant.

      Regards
      Kunzyogya
