This 20 million years ago ancient volcano is extraordinary. The hike to it is fair and manageable. You don’t have to worry too much about it, unless if it’s rainy it could be slippery. The view is definitely spectacular! All the rocks surrounding it-amazingggg! If you are lucky, you can spot some very unique and colorful insects and flowers 🙂

If you are reasonably fit, you won t have any problem hiking Gunung Nglanggeran at all. I think it can be classified as an easy-medium hike. Starting from the parking lot, you probably need more or less one and half hours to reach the top. It will easily stretch to become a two-hour journey though as there are several viewing points along the way and you cannot miss the chance to take a break and just enjoy the views surrounding the mountain.
